Too much to do and too busy for cooking this weekend (why would you on holiday ?!)
Sunday lunch at The Star at Lessingham www.thestarlessingham.co.uk
A great Sunday lunch – extremely good value. A lovely traditional pub environment, again very busy (everyone is out eating this weekend !) Really friendly welcome from the landlord and staff. The Star is a decent walk from Seascape (about 1 hour and 45 mins each way), 10/15 mins by car. We will definitely return.
An amazing meal at Bure River Cottage Restaurant in Horning. Heard good reviews for a few years but never managed to get there. Oh wow, so glad we did….. Horning is a lovely Broadland village well worth a visit. About 25 mins drive from Seascape. We took a taxi as a treat, thank you Roy of County Cars of North Walsham 01692 406068. The restaurant is seafood only, no concessions to meat eaters!! The fish was so fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to go back. Check out www.burerivercottagerestaurant.co.uk It is so popular you will need to book.
Saturday 26 October – Opportunity for a walk around the “quiet lanes” of Edinthorpe/Paston today. The Quiet Lane scheme aims to make minor rural links better for road users , including walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The idea is to encourage road users to adopt a “share with care” philosophy when using routes signed as Quiet Lanes. It works !!! and makes for far nicer walking and cycling. There is quite a network around and about Seascape, perfect for taking the kids out on their bikes with very little cars to worry about.
On the way back picked up essential supplies of “Nick’s Sausages” on sale at the Bacton Superstore. Nick’s pigs are local Bacton residents, free range and very happy… Reflected in the quality of the sausages. Highly recommended for the essential fry up eaten on the deck of Seascape!!!
Saturday 26 October – Up just in time to catch an amazing sun rise from the beach at Seascape…..
A spectacular sunny day to work with Rob Ward, our friend and amazing photographer www.robwardphotography.com, to take the shots for the new Seascape website. Great fun being a photographer’s assistant for the day!
Bobby Beach Dog
Sunny Day Deckchairs
We were so lucky with the weather, clear blue skies, bright sunlight and the beach looked amazing… Guest shots of Bobby, the sweetest dog, who was being walked with his owner on the beach.
Seascape is “dog friendly” with amazing walks around and about.
