Walking the cliff top path to Happisburgh

A lovely walk to Happisburgh – along the sea wall to Walcott, picking up through the coastline village and then across the cliff top via the newly signed posted Norfolk coastal path – wonderful views of the lighthouse both ways.    Just past Happisburgh is Cart Gap with the great Smallsticks café, or stop off at the pub in Happisburgh, very dog friendly and great beers !

A bonus during our walk back, can’t guarantee this though, a beautiful kingfisher playing with the seabirds on the sea wall at Walcott !!

If you go down to the woods today…….

Spent a lovely morning wandering around Bacton Woods today – we love these woods whatever the season, but Autumn is pretty special.  3 mins in the car from the chalet or easily walkable on the quiet back roads.    A great place to exercise your dogs when they tire of the beach ??!!     It was so peaceful today ….

Searching for the Pigneys in Pigneys Wood

On Sunday we booted up and went in search of the pigneys in Pigneys Wood, a few miles drive from Seascape on the North Walsham Road.   We didn’t find any, but did find a sea of bluebells and gorgeous trees in blossom.

Pigneys is not as large as Bacton Woods, but lovely for a walk on the marked trails to admire the flora and fauna.   Pigneys Wood is owned and managed by North Norfolk Community Woodland Trust.  A great spot for a picnic, with several designated picnic areas. Dogs are allowed, but on leads during the spring/early summer months to safeguard the breeding habitats for nesting ground birds.

A spectacular sunny day

A spectacular sunny day to work with Rob Ward, our friend and amazing photographer www.robwardphotography.com, to take the shots for the new Seascape website.    Great fun being a photographer’s assistant for the day!

We were so lucky with the weather, clear blue skies, bright sunlight and the beach looked amazing…  Guest shots of Bobby, the sweetest dog, who was being walked with his owner on the beach.

Seascape is “dog friendly” with amazing walks around and about.
